Unlike most radio account executives that just sell air time, I take a much different approach. I not only sell radio spots, I write most of my own scripts, voice most of my own spots, and produce the final cut.
To me, a radio ad is more like a short story. You have to describe the company and or product in a way that creates interest from the listener. Since its radio you must do this by painting a picture in their mind and follow it up with a “Call to Action”.
Working and communicating with all types of business owners is extremely interesting to me because I get to take an in depth look at what they do, how they do it, and why they do it. It’s also a big help when writing scripts. In today’s fast paced world radio advertising is still at the top as it reaches 93% of the public.
