ANNUAL SPECTACULAR COMMITTEE

The Annual Spectacular is the Chamber’s largest and most important signature event of the year. The Annual Spectacular focuses on celebrating the Chamber’s membership and the leadership of the business community, along with recognizing various Chamber award winners. The Board Chair-Elect serves as the project lead including the responsibility of forming and leading a planning team. The planning usually begins in December or January with monthly meetings until July, then bi-weekly or weekly until the event in October.
COUNCIL ADVOCACY AND ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Chair: Howard Wanamaker, Acura of Orange Park
Vice-Chair: Patrick Hayle Mercy Support Services Inc.
The Committee serves as the primary platform to oversee, advice and provide guidance to the councils. The Committee works to improve communication, coordination, and unification of efforts between the Councils, Chamber Staff and Board of Directors. The Committee resolves Council challenges as well as initiating/recommending new and innovative ideas as well as current trends to the Board.
Chair: James Machado, St. Vincent's Medical Center Clay County
The Committee makes recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding all financial aspects of the Chamber and advises the Board of Directors on the financial health of the Clay Chamber of Commerce. The Committee recommends internal controls and other financial policies/procedures and works with the President in developing long-range financial plans, reviewing annual budgets and financial reports.

The Committee works closely with the President to assist in obtaining higher level membership and sponsorship sales. The Committee focuses on the major level Chamber donors by establishing contact and maintains high levels of engagement to ensure a focus on increasing value and supporting their unique interests.
MEMBERSHIP ENGAGEMENT COMMITTEE

Vice-Chair: Elaine Umbaugh, FirstAtlantic Bank
The Membership Engagement represents our members. The Committee keeps closely connected to our Chamber’s membership to formulate and recommend programs, benefits and events that meet the changing needs of our membership. The Committee works to retain and increase membership by assessing and championing the needs of our membership.
PUBLIC POLICY COMMITTEE
Chair: Roy Buncome, Buncome Technologies
Vice-Chair: Darin Roarke, Baptist Clay Medical Campus
The Public Policy Committee is responsible on educating and representing our Chamber members about local, state, and federal public policy issues. The Committee researches all public policy issues from a Chamber membership and business community perspective, then crafts public policy position recommendations for the Board of Directors final decision. The Committee advocates those positions based on board approval.
