The Annual Spectacular is the Chamber’s largest and most important signature event of the year. The Annual Spectacular focuses on celebrating the Chamber’s membership and the leadership of the business community, along with recognizing various Chamber award winners. The Board Chair-Elect serves as the project lead including the responsibility of forming and leading a planning team. The planning usually begins in December or January with monthly meetings until July, then bi-weekly or weekly until the event in October.

The Committee serves as the primary platform to oversee, advise, and provide guidance to the councils. The Committee works to improve communication, coordination, and unification of efforts between the Councils, Chamber Leadership Team, and Board of Directors. The Committee works with Councils to initiate, recommend, and support new and innovative ideas.

The Committee makes recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding all financial aspects of the Chamber and advises them on the financial health of the Clay Chamber of Commerce. The Committee monitors internal controls and other financial policies and procedures. It also works with the President in developing long-range financial plans, reviewing annual budgets, and financial reports.

The Committee works closely with the President to assist in obtaining higher-level membership and sponsorship sales. The Committee focuses on the major level Chamber donors by establishing contact and maintains high levels of engagement to ensure a focus on increasing value and supporting their unique interests.

The Membership Engagement represents our members. The Committee keeps closely connected to our Chamber’s membership to formulate and recommend programs, including the Ambassador Program, benefits and events. The Committee works to retain and increase membership by assessing and championing the needs of our membership.

The Public Policy Committee is responsible for educating and representing Chamber members about local, state, and federal public policy issues. The Committee researches public policy issues from a Chamber membership and business perspective, then crafts a position for the Board's approval.
